About Us

Westwood Care and Support Services was established in February 2011 by Lindsey Bratton (Nominated Individual).

In late 2010 we were looking for care and support for a family member who has complex needs and we quickly realised that local companies offered care but only on a half hour basis. Ideally, we were looking for three to four hours of care at a time to help support our family member with access to local leisure activities.

Believing we could make a difference to many by providing tailored care packages that fully meet the needs of both individuals and families across Hull, we decided that through our knowledge and experience we would form a company offering these care services. As a direct result of this, Westwood Care and Support Services Yorkshire Ltd was born.

After launching the company we soon realised that there were many other people facing the same problems that we had when looking for suitable care providers. We have since grown from strength to strength and currently employ 80 staff (and growing) in a variety of roles within the community.

We now have four teams delivering our care services across the whole of Hull. We have an East Hull Team, North Hull Team, Central Hull Team and West Hull Team. We also cover Hessle, Anlaby, Cottingham and surrounding villages in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Lindsey Bratton – Responsible Individual

I oversee the running of Westwood Care and Support Services and Westwood Care Group. I have a passion for supporting people and helping to improve their lives through quality care and support services. I am very much hands on and love nothing more than talking to the people we support about what it is they are looking for in a service and how we can help them to achieve their goals and aspirations.Westwood Care and Support started back in February 2011 when I left my position as Branch manager of a healthcare recruitment agency to follow my own dreams. I wanted to provide a flexible care and support service for people that offered a reliable, consistent service with a small team of Personal Assistants. We have achieved this through hard work and determination and by remaining flexible it means that the people we support are in charge of their care and our service fits in with their lifestyle. We are responsive to people’s ever changing needs and respond accordingly. We also work closely with their social worker, family, friends and/or advocate.
